AI and Pedagogy

As we better understand the new AI landscape, we accept that there exists many different strategies for adapting to this shift. At the TLC we would like to share our own strategies and provide our own advice. As we work to integrate AI into our courses, or simply to understand and manage AI usage from our students, it is vital that we work closely together. Faculty members are the experts in the classroom, and their insights are invaluable for shaping AI tools that truly enhance the learning experience. By fostering collaboration and open communication with teachers, the TLC believes that we can develop AI solutions that align with various educational objectives of our professors, and that respects the autonomy of our instructors. This collaborative approach can help address the practical challenges and ethical considerations surrounding AI in education, and ultimately lead to the development of AI systems that empower educators, improve student outcomes, and create a more effective and equitable learning environment.

Here are a few links, shared with us to presentations or AI-based products we find potentially useful:

  •  This website/presentation links to useful resources that discuss AI and pedagogy. Pay attention to the links located throughout each slide, Each one takes you to a different resource for utilizing AI in coursework.
  • Beautiful AI is an AI resource that works with you to generate tasks such as Presentation slides and brainstorming.
We will continue to add more information soon. We also have a recording of a recent AI presentation here at City College. That will also be posted soon.
